I wanted to comment on Brent Brody passing. I can't seem to get
it posted. We were room mates in 61. He was a solid guy who worked very hard. He
was always loyal to his friends, family & Fraternity brothers. Haven't seen him for
several years but am sad he is gone.

MORE PHI DELT - TRI CHI STAG POKER PARTY
I have pretty good idea that it is Br. Sam Cota getting a light in this photograph. photo 2124
Joke telling was a big time fraternity activity in the 1960s I don't recognize any of these guys, they may all be Tri Chis - Photo 2127
Br. Dick Mlack says: "2127: Guy with a white shirt and sitting on the floor on the far right is George Worthington. He was the Tri Chi president. He was a really nice guy, which is one of the reasons I think that we got along so well with the Tri Chi's".
I think all of these guys are Tri Chis
Br. Joe Reggio is at the far right, wearing a Phi Delt crest on his polp shirt.

JERRY OLSON'S COMMENTS ABOUT PIERCE
Subject: Re: a simple favor for Pierce College

Back in 1959 I had an interest merely to learn a trade and to get a job. Electronics seemed to be a good field, so I enrolled in the electronics technician program at Pierce College.
I was fully influenced by a great teacher, Mr. William "Bill" Shaw. His great sense of humor made his classes interesting and not boring. I would like to think his classes gave me a great background.
I received my Associate of Arts in June 1961. I had joined the Phi Delta Psi fraternity and wanted to continue with school (and all the parties). The influence of those young men had me want more that an AA degree.
A few more classes with Bill Shaw and I was able to apply at California State University Long Beach and received Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology, Electronics.
Sincerly,
Gerald R. Olson
Gerald Olson and his family reside in Manhattan Beach, California. He works as a service engineer for an electonics firm in Whittier, California.
