BOB WARREN & JOHN BOGDANOFF CELEBRATE IN T.J.
Bob Warren and John Bogdanoff in Tiajuana to celebrate one of their birthdays in 1965.
Robert Warren was initiated into our Brotherhood in the Fall of 1963 at Los Angeles Pierce College. He lived an amazing life and broke the hearts of all who knew him, when he died so very young.
The son of Ward B. Warren MD, Brother Robert Warren was born on the 24th of April, 1946. He was initiated into the Phi Delta Psi Fraternity in the Fall of 1963. Bob graduated from Pierce College and later from the University of Southern California in 1966. He graduated from the USC School of Law.
In 1972, Brother Warren began his legal practice in the State of Oregon in Medford as Deputy District Attorney. He was appointed circuit court judge (the youngest at that time in Oregon.) Bob became bored with being a judge and left the bench to form a law practice with close friends. The firm won a contract to supply the court with attorneys to defend those who could not afford representation. Generally court appointed attorneys are inexperienced young people just out of law school, but Bob's firm was quite another matter. His colleagues were "bog guns" seasoned lawyers and former jurists. The attorneys were widely called "Warren's Boys."
Bob was married to Patricia Ann Clay. Patty was a Beta Chi Delta at Pierce College. He was married twice more. Bob had two fine sons. One son, Eric is an excellent artist, like his father. The second son, Chris has a rock and roll band. Bob loved rock and roll and was a major Rolling Stones fan. Br. Warren also had a daughter with a girlfriend from his college days.
Bob was an excellent sailor. He owned a 40 foot sail boat named "Clarity." He was aboard his boat in Puerto Vallerta, Mexico when he learned that he was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.)
Brother Robert Warren died on the 31st of July, 1992. He was at his home in Jacksonville Oregon with family and friends at his side. Brother Warren was a devout Buddhist.
Brothers Bob Warren and John Bogdanoff were close friends. John believes that Bob visits him yearly to celebrate their birthdays.
"We continue the fun to this day."
