Phi Delt lunch June 19th

Dear Friends and Brothers,

The June Phi Delt lunch will be held on June 19th  (the 3rd Thursday of the month at 1 pm (the 13th hour) at Philippe’s French Dip cafeteria
downtown LA.

Philippe The Original
1001 N. Alameda St.
Los Angeles CA, 90012

Phillipes is located 1 block north of Union Station, Olvera St., and the Hollywood 101 Freeway at Alameda and Ord St.
We will be upstairs and push out everyone else in a room for ourselves.

Go first to the lines, they are long but more reasonably fast; Great sandwiches, good potato salad, to die for cole slaw. Great lemonade,
draft beer (have a designated driver) good pickles, terrific chili –
after lunch walk around the downstairs to see the baseball and old time
LA photos.

Take the Metro Link subway to Union Station – just down the street from
Olvera Street. Get senior fare discount. All LA subways go toe Union
Station, as does Amtrack.
If you drive Philippe’s has park around it, or directly across the street.
Park across the street and look up to see a Thai Lord Buddha checking you
out. Parking is free.

The Museum of the San Fernando Valley has finally opened its permanent
space in Northridge. We’ll be have a Phi Delta reception there sometime soon. There will be work stations where you can come and look at and identify old Phi Delt pictures. It has an elevator.
Now you know what to do with your old year books, national guard pictures, and Phi Delt memorabilia.

We really really need bookcases for The Museum. If you can donate some or display cases, please give Scott Sterling a call: (818) 347-9665
